The Mobile Area Lodging Corporation (MALC) was created to support the lodging community in a new and innovative way. After many years of work and collaboration within our entire hotel community and the City of Mobile, the Tourism Improvement District Ordinance was finally adopted by the Mobile City Council on May 19, 2020.

 

The Mobile Tourism Improvement District (MTID) is an assessment district proposed to provide specific benefits to payors, by funding targeted marketing and sales promotion efforts, and as well as capital improvements.
